It's the People

One of the things I love about being a writer is that my characters don't get their feelings hurt (usually).
I learned a long time ago that very little is done maliciously. We're all going about our lives, taking care of business, doing the best we can on a day to day basis. I don't go out of my way to hurt someone. Chances are, if I hurt your feelings, I don't even realize I did unless you tell me.
Unfortunately, some people take everything ( or a lot of things) personally. It's got to be an exhausting way to live - to think everything in the world is about you.
